Ingredients

Instructions

    1. Soak the cashews in water in the refrigerator for a minimum of five hours or overnight.
    2. Drain the cashews.
    3. Rinse the cashews until the water is clear.
    4. Put the cashews and two cups of water into a blender.
    5. Begin blending on a low setting; increase the setting and blend until the cashews are pulped.
    6. Add two additional cups of water, your preferred sweetener, vanilla extract, a dash of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon if you like. Blend again.

Note

Notes on Cashew Milk:

Some blenders can’t completely break down the cashews. If yours falls into this category, strain the milk through a cheesecloth.

Store your cashew milk in the refrigerator for up to four days.

Changing up the water ratio will give you thicker or thinner results. This recipe should provide milk similar to 2% traditional milk.

For vegan cashew milk, choose maple syrup or agave nectar for sweetening instead of honey.
