We believe food can – and should – play a major role in finding solutions for the next generation.
Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
Through Regenerative Farming Practices
Our regenerative farming system aims to preserve a natural relationship between plants and soil organisms. As a true reflection of the land and people who steward it.
We promote biodiversity by planting cover crops as one of our regenerative practices to lower our carbon footprint and maintain healthy soil biome amongst our trees. While we don’t have all the answers yet, we will strive for goals within the community and our global environment to do the right thing by the people and for the planet.
Bee Friendly Farming
Cultivating A Future For Bees
We are dedicated to Pollinator Partnerships by supporting the health of pollinators critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research. It is our mission to become a certified Bee Friendly Farmer and help our contracted almond and walnut growers to carry the same certification and uphold this standard in farming.
We believe social impact is a constant effort that we consider a duty to our community, to which we owe so many of our successes.
We believe in leading by example and contributing to causes greater than our specific mission. With Glenda’s Farmhouse, on building a healthier, more sustainable food chain. One of the reasons we’re excited about the food industry is that it provides a new perspective – and sense of urgency- about some of the environmental issues we’re already addressing.
It also helps us engage with organizations more directly involved with food, like Chico State University and programs like the Center for Land Based Learning, which introduce children and young adults to the concept of growing, cooking and eating healthy, sustainable foods. These programs also focus on the agricultural aspect of land and water management.
